Privacy Policy

Chanpilot provides tools that help creators manage YouTube channels, generate metadata, analyze channel performance, and publish or update YouTube content. For privacy questions, contact us at hello@chanpilot.xyz. Security issues can be reported to security@chanpilot.xyz.

We collect information you provide directly, information created when you use Chanpilot, and information you authorize us to access from Google or YouTube.

• Account information, such as your name, email address, login method, authentication identifiers, and account settings.
• Workspace and channel settings, such as saved style profiles, default metadata preferences, fixed tags, custom links, and generation history.
• Content inputs and outputs, such as video URLs, transcripts, titles, descriptions, tags, clip instructions, generated metadata, and uploaded clip details.
• Billing information handled by our payment provider, such as subscription status, plan, invoice identifiers, and payment events. We do not store full card numbers.
• Technical information, such as IP address, device and browser data, logs, cookie identifiers, error reports, and analytics events used to keep the service secure and reliable.

Chanpilot uses Google OAuth and YouTube API Services only after you choose to connect a Google or YouTube account. Depending on the features you use and the permissions you grant, we may access or store the following YouTube-related information:

• Basic Google sign-in information, such as your email address, name, and profile image, when you use Google sign-in.
• YouTube channel identifiers, channel name, handle, thumbnail, subscriber count, view count, video count, and related channel metadata.
• YouTube video metadata, such as video IDs, titles, descriptions, tags, visibility status, statistics, and other information needed to analyze or update videos you own.
• YouTube Analytics data that you authorize us to read for your channel, such as performance reports and metrics used in the dashboard.
• OAuth access tokens, refresh tokens, token scopes, and token expiration times needed to keep your YouTube channel connected. Tokens are stored in encrypted form.

Chanpilot's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

We use information to provide, secure, and improve Chanpilot.

• Authenticate users, maintain sessions, and protect accounts.
• Connect YouTube channels and show channel information in the dashboard.
• Generate and save titles, descriptions, tags, summaries, clips, and channel style preferences at your request.
• Fetch transcripts, analyze channel performance, and refresh YouTube metrics for your connected channels.
• Publish clips or update YouTube metadata only when you initiate those actions.
• Process payments, enforce plan limits, prevent abuse, debug errors, and comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information or Google user data. We do not use Google user data for advertising, retargeting, personalized ads, credit scoring, or lending decisions.

We may share information with service providers that help us run Chanpilot, such as hosting, database, authentication, analytics, payment, email, AI processing, storage, and security providers. These providers may only process information as needed to provide services to Chanpilot and must protect it appropriately.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect users and the service, to investigate abuse or security issues, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to applicable privacy requirements.

When you ask Chanpilot to generate or improve content, we may send the relevant transcript, prompt, style settings, channel context, and previous output to AI service providers. We use these providers to deliver user-facing generation features. We do not sell this data, and we do not use Google user data to train our own advertising models.

We keep information for as long as needed to provide Chanpilot, maintain security, comply with law, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and support backups. YouTube OAuth tokens are stored encrypted and are used only for authorized YouTube features.

Disconnecting a YouTube channel in the dashboard stops active use of that channel connection. If you want us to delete stored account or channel data that is not removed through the product, contact hello@chanpilot.xyz. We may retain limited records where required for legal, security, billing, or backup purposes.

• You can choose not to connect a YouTube channel and still use manual tools where available.
• You can disconnect a YouTube channel from the Chanpilot dashboard.
• You can revoke Chanpilot's Google access from your Google Account permissions page.
• You can request access, correction, deletion, or export of your personal information by contacting us.
• You can use browser controls to block or delete cookies, though some features may stop working.

Chanpilot uses YouTube API Services. By using features that access YouTube API Services, you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's privacy practices are described in the Google Privacy Policy.

We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including encrypted token storage, access controls, HTTPS, security headers, logging, and abuse prevention. No system is perfectly secure, so please report suspected security issues to security@chanpilot.xyz.

Chanpilot is not intended for children under 13 or for anyone prohibited from using the service under applicable law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Chanpilot may process and store information in countries other than the country where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide notice through the service or by another reasonable method. The updated policy is effective when posted unless it states otherwise.
