1. Agreement to these terms
By creating an account, connecting a YouTube channel, installing the Chanpilot browser extension, or using Chanpilot, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Chanpilot.
2. The service
Chanpilot helps creators manage YouTube workflows, including channel connection, transcript-based generation, titles, descriptions, tags, analytics, style training, clip workflows, and publishing or metadata updates that you initiate.
We may update, add, suspend, or remove features from time to time. Some features may be experimental, limited by plan, or dependent on third-party services such as Google, YouTube, AI providers, hosting providers, and payment processors.
3. Accounts and eligibility
You must provide accurate account information and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account, including actions taken by anyone you allow to use it. You must be legally able to enter into these terms and use Chanpilot only where allowed by law.
4. Google and YouTube features
Chanpilot uses Google OAuth and YouTube API Services to power connected-channel features. By using features that access YouTube API Services, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Your use of Google and YouTube is also subject to Google's and YouTube's own terms, policies, and account controls.
You authorize Chanpilot to access, use, and store Google and YouTube data only as described in our Privacy Policy and only for the features you choose to use. You can disconnect a channel in Chanpilot or revoke access from your Google Account permissions page.
5. Your content and permissions
You keep ownership of the videos, transcripts, metadata, prompts, style notes, channel information, and other content you submit to Chanpilot. You grant Chanpilot a limited permission to host, process, transmit, display, and modify your content as needed to provide the service, generate outputs, troubleshoot issues, enforce these terms, and comply with law.
You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to use any content you submit, upload, publish, edit, or direct Chanpilot to process.
6. Generated outputs
Chanpilot may generate titles, descriptions, tags, summaries, scripts, clip suggestions, and other outputs using automated systems. Outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your channel. You are responsible for reviewing outputs before publishing or relying on them.
7. Publishing and channel actions
Chanpilot will only publish clips, update metadata, or perform write actions on YouTube when you initiate or authorize those actions. You are responsible for confirming that any title, description, tag, clip, visibility setting, and upload complies with YouTube rules, copyright law, advertising rules, and other applicable requirements.
8. Subscriptions, billing, and refunds
Paid plans are billed through our payment provider. Prices, included usage, limits, and plan features are shown at checkout or on the pricing page. Taxes may apply. Unless stated otherwise, subscriptions renew automatically until canceled.
You can cancel a paid plan from the dashboard or by contacting us. Canceling stops future renewals, but you keep access until the end of the current billing period. We offer a 14-day refund window for paid subscriptions unless abuse, fraud, or another exception applies.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse Chanpilot or connected services.
- Do not violate law, third-party rights, YouTube policies, Google policies, or these terms.
- Do not upload, generate, publish, or promote content that is unlawful, infringing, deceptive, abusive, spammy, or harmful.
- Do not attempt to bypass plan limits, rate limits, security controls, authentication, or access restrictions.
- Do not reverse engineer, scrape, overload, resell, or provide unauthorized access to Chanpilot or YouTube API-derived functionality.
- Do not use Chanpilot to distribute malware, harvest credentials, impersonate others, or interfere with any service.
10. Third-party services
Chanpilot integrates with third-party services, including Google, YouTube, AI providers, hosting, analytics, email, storage, and payment processors. We are not responsible for third-party services, and their own terms and privacy policies may apply. Third-party service outages, API changes, quota limits, policy changes, or account restrictions may affect Chanpilot features.
11. Intellectual property
Chanpilot, including its software, design, brand, logos, and documentation, is owned by Chanpilot or its licensors. These terms do not transfer ownership of Chanpilot intellectual property to you. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from Chanpilot except as allowed by law or with our written permission.
12. Suspension and termination
You may stop using Chanpilot at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms, create risk for the service or other users, fail to pay fees, abuse the platform, or if required by law or a third-party platform. After termination, provisions that by their nature should survive will continue to apply.
13. Disclaimers
Chanpilot is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, and error free operation. We do not guarantee channel growth, revenue, ranking, views, or platform approval.
14. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Chanpilot will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, loss of goodwill, platform penalties, or business interruption. Our total liability for claims relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to Chanpilot in the three months before the claim or USD $100.
15. Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold Chanpilot harmless from claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your content, your use of Chanpilot, your YouTube channel actions, your violation of these terms, or your violation of law or third-party rights.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide notice through the service or by another reasonable method. Updated terms are effective when posted unless they state otherwise. Continuing to use Chanpilot after changes become effective means you accept the updated terms.
